On 5th and 6th October, CD Odiaxere Walking Football Club ran an extremely successful and enjoyable walking football festival which was attended by 5 teams that had travelled from the UK, alongside local teams - East Algarve WF and CDR Quarteirense - not to mention hosts CD Odiaxere.
Day One was a Group Stage, with four teams in each group, playing each other team twice during the morning.
Day Two was played in a knockout format, with the winners of the quarter-finals progressing to the Cup semifinals and the four losers dropping in the Plate semifinals.
The Cup Final saw local club CDR Quarteirense triumph 2-1 over Argie Bargies from UK, whilst in the Plate Final, Thatcham ‘B’ beat their ‘A’ team 2-0.
The finals were followed by a Presentation Lunch in the CD Odiaxere Club Restaurant.
